Grey Gulls are breeding in the northern Chilean desert and their eggs are specially adapted to the heat by having less pores in order to avoid the loss of humidity. In the Peruvian Winter (July to September) the Grey Gull is migrating northwards to the central Peruvian coast where it becomes the dominant Gull species resting in giant flocks on the beaches. It can be observed on Nature Expeditions birding trips to coastal wetlands as weel as on coastal marine birding and dolphin watching trips: www.nature-expeditions-peru.com
