Naliya grasslands in Kutch is the only known place now in Gujarat state where a small population (28-30 Indian Bustard) is surviving. The habitat of this species has been converted in to agriculture land by land mafias and locals. The habitat is now greatly fragmented and small patchy areas are under tremendous grazing pressure, stray dogs of nomadic and sedentry graziers are major threat to breeding success. Core bustard conservation areas should immediately be protected from human interference, We do not any future for Bustards, Lesser Floricans and migratory MacQueen's Bustard in Naliya grassland area otherwise.
