It is not so frequent to find this species on continental coasts. This individual was fishing only few meters from the beach, together other species, mainly Rynchops niger, Phaetusa simplex, Sterna hirundo, Pelecanus occidentalis, etc. The reason was that those days the mouth of Tacarigua Lagoon was open and consequently there were many fishes, and of course fishers concentrated there.
