This immature eagle was born in April 2008. There was only one eaglet raised by a pair nesting in a tree next to our home. The bird began flying free in late July.

Eagles live well with humans. This bird was hatched and grew up in a 100 foot White Pine tree next to our lakeside home in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The adults come and go paying no attention to cars, boats, people and pets. Last summer there were at least three nests active on the lake.
