Hummer in a hand! Allen's Hummingbird (Selasphorus sasin) photo
This little hummer was a very hot bird in the winter of 09 in central Florida. We were there when this male was banded within 10 minutes when we go there at 6:30 am in the morning. What a great bird to see for the first time. A very rare western bird for us folks in Florida!

At the time, this was my 331st state bird in Florida!
