Geographical Search Help.

Browsing localities is very easy. As easy as starting to type a name, waiting for the list of results and then selecting one, which will forward you to the specific locality page.

Some aspects to keep in mind:
- You need to type a minimum of four letters for a list of matching places to be displayed.
- Only localities which are in the database will be shown (currently around 10,000 and growing with your contributions!).
- Try to type simply the name (better to enter "Marievale" rather than "Marievale Sanctuary" or "Marievale Reserve"; the name we have is "Marievale Bird Sanctuary" so typing "mariev" will already give you the correct result).

If you can't find the locality, try this:
- Look for a broader region, like a city, province or country and there you will see if the locality is listed below that level.
- Another option is to expand the biogeographical region from the homepage and open the country. All countries are entered in the database, even if we don't have any material.
